Carrie Jean Melvin, 30, was walking with her boyfriend toward Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles at around 10 p.m. when a man with a shotgun snuck up behind them and shot her, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Melvin died at the scene, and her killer jumped into a black sedan and fled,KTLA-TV reported.
No suspects had been arrested on Monday night and investigators are seeking information on the shooter, who police described as an African-American male in his 20s wearing a hood, according to KNBC-TV. More
