Girl Scout cookie-buyers pay in counterfeit money

It’s been a tough year for the Girl Scouts. Earlier this month, a troop had their cash swiped while selling cookies outside a Walmart in the Houston area, and now, scammers in several states are trying to pay for their Thin Mints with fake bills.

A scout in Massachusetts ended up with $80 in counterfeit $20 bills, discovered by her troop leader when they went to bank the money in the troop’s account. Full Article
