Deputies: Unlucky banditos drove into park under Sheriff's Office surveillance

Two men -- who had a combined total of 28 charges on multiple outstanding arrest warrants from Orange County -- were busted near Polk City after they were seen by detectives who were learning surveillance techniques during in-field training, according to a news release from the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

During the field training, a detective reportedly noticed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of a trail.  The silver Caddy had dark-tinted windows and a temporary tag that matched the description of the car used by  “Felony Lane/Smash ‘n Grab” suspects, a group of thieves who target places where women are prone known to leave their purses in parked cars, such as schools, daycare centers, parks, gyms, and churches, the release stated.  Full Article
