MONROE, North Carolina – The trial for a Union County man accused of chaining an 11-year-old boy on a porch with a dead chicken around his neck is expected to start this week.
Multiple media outlets reported that the trial for Dorian Harper was expected to start Monday in Monroe.
Harper and his girlfriend, Wanda Larson, were arrested at a sheriff’s deputy found the boy in November 2013. Larson was the guardian for the boy.
Larson was a supervisor for the Union County Department of Social Services. More
