Hate crime charge for two men

DeKALB – Authorities continue to investigate a drug-related incident that led to two men being charged with a hate crime after police say they tried to intimidate someone by displaying a noose outside that person’s residence.

Authorities were called at 3:19 p.m. Friday to the 1000 block of Ridge Drive to investigate a report of a suspicious vehicle, according to a news release from DeKalb Police. The complainant reported that occupants of a vehicle had displayed a noose from the window of the car.

The complainant lives in the same building as the person targeted, DeKalb Police Lt. Gary Spangler said.  Full Article
