Murder convict charged in West Woodlawn triple slaying

A South Side man who previously served time in prison for murder has been charged in a triple slaying last week in the West Woodlawn neighborhood.

Curtis Davis, of Chicago, has been charged with murder in the shootings of two men inside an apartment in the 6300 block of South Evans Avenue and a third found with 33 bullet wounds on the apartment building's back porch. Cook County Judge James Brown ordered him held without bail in a hearing midday today.

Davis, of the first block of West 71st Street, was arrested Friday at 1:45 a.m. at his high-rise apartment building, prosecutors said.  Full Article
