A 54-year-old man charged with stabbing his 84-year-old mother to death Friday morning in the Northwest Side Dunning neighborhood was denied bond Sunday.
Joseph Nerone was charged with one count of first-degree murder, police News Affairs Officer Daniel O’Brien said. Nerone told detectives that Satan killed the victim and that Satan was inside him.
Elaine Nerone, 84, was found dead in her home in the 3800 block of North Normandy Avenue after police were notified just after 9 a.m. Friday, according to News Affair.
An autopsy Saturday found Elaine Nerone suffered multiple stab wounds and multiple blunt force trauma, the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office said. Full Article
