Ian Alleyne was arrested late Thursday after a 30-minute struggle with police that was broadcast live on TV as a few dozen fans demanded he be freed.
Defense lawyer Om Lalla said Friday that Alleyne was later taken to the hospital for chest pains and remains there.
Alleyne aired the rape video three times on his show "Crime Watch" late last year, then apologized after people protested. Police accuse him of violating a law that bans broadcasters from showing images of rape victims. More
