LA JOLLA — A
man described as having “vampire teeth” was arrested in La Jolla Monday morning
after police say he attacked a homeless man and threatened to kill him.
Police were called to a shopping center on
Villa La Jolla off La Jolla Village Drive about 5:45 a.m. by someone who saw the
victim standing outside a CVS Pharmacy, San Diego police Capt. Brian Ahearn
said.
When they arrived they found the
55-year-old man wounded and bleeding with his left eye swollen shut, Ahearn
said.
He told officers that he was sleeping
behind the shopping center next to Interstate 5 adjacent to Nobel Drive when he
was beaten in an attack he described as totally unprovoked, Ahearn said. More
