Trauma doctor wanted after a fatal shooting at ECMC not found at his Lake View home

A police SWAT team and other officers converged on the upscale Lake View home of Dr. Timothy V. Jorden Jr., 49, this afternoon to question him about a morning shooting at Erie County Medical Center, but nine hours into a standoff at the house, police did not find the trauma surgeon and former member of the Army Special Forces at home.

"He is not in the house," a police source told The Buffalo News. "He is somewhere and hopefully, we'll catch him."

Shortly before 3 p.m., authorities cut the electric power to the West Arnold Drive residence.
A remote-controlled robot being operated by police was sent into the home this evening but did not find the doctor.  More
