OCONEE COUNTY , Florida – A Georgia man who appeared to be “highly intoxicated” was arrested after allegedly telling an Oconee County officer that his dog drove him to the store so that he could purchase corn.
According to the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, Sgt. Partain responded to a call about a dog in a hot car. When Partain arrived on the scene, he encountered a canine in a locked vehicle that had a temperature which clocked in at 123 degrees when measured with a handheld thermometer.
Partain also saw a can of gasoline inside the vehicle and said the smell was stifling.
The car’s driver, Wesley Terrell, allegedly told Partain that “the dog drove him to Bell’s to buy some corn.” More
