Shots fired at officers during Ferguson burglary arrests

FERGUSON, Mo. -- Police are still investigating after they say two rounds of shots were fired at them while trying to make arrests during a burglary.

Officers say around 5:30 Tuesday evening, dispatchers got a call for a burglary in progress at 9163 West Florissant. The business located there, Beauty Town, had been burned during the unrest in the wake of the Michael Brown shooting.

When officers arrived at the scene, they told six people they were under arrest and began to take them into custody.

That's when officers say a round of shots was fired at them from the Sharondale Apartments, located behind the store. As they ducked to keep from getting hit, officers say a second round of gunfire came from across the street.   More    Strange News
