Woman jumped into stranger’s car, punched cop

BOISE – A Meridian woman is in jail after police say she commandeered a stranger’s vehicle and punched an officer in the face.

A man flagged down a patrol car near West Malad and South Orchard streets at 3:45 a.m. Saturday. He told officers he had stopped to see if a woman on the side of the road was OK.

When he pulled over, however, 25-year-old Andrea Sarie Espinosa jumped into his car and told him to drive, the man told police. Instead, he got out and waved down the officers.

As officers walked over to the car, Espinosa moved into the driver’s seat and tried to drive away, police say. One officer was able to open the door and stop the car.  More    Strange News
