DALLAS – Police have issued arrest warrants for two people for practicing medicine without a license in connection to the death of a woman who police say received injections of a substance in her buttocks in a botched cosmetic procedure.
On February 19, 34-year-old Wykesha Reid was found dead inside of a business that performs eyelash extensions in the 3800 block of East Side Avenue by a 31-year-old named Jimmy Joe Clarke, also known as “Alicia,” who lives as a transgender woman. Upon finding the body at 7:50 a.m., Clarke called 911.
Clarke told police that Reid had come to the business the previous day at about 5:30 p.m. and said “she was not well and wanted to lay down.” Clarke said she locked Reid in the business overnight and when she returned in the morning, Reid was dead and she told police she did not know what happened to Reid.
At the scene, detectives found Reid laying on her back on top of a massage table with her pants partially pulled down and bloody gauze on her buttocks. More
