Trio charged with killing women, making pastries of human flesh

Brazil – A man, his wife and his mistress confessed to killing two women and using their flesh to make desserts in 2012, police said.

The trio allegedly lured women to their shared home by promising them nanny jobs and then ate and sold some of their pastries to neighbors.

Isabel Cristina Pires, Jorge Beltrão Negromonte da Silveira and Bruna Cristina Oliveira da Silva are on trial for allegedly killing at least two women and eating their flesh in pastries.

At the time of their arrest they told police they belonged to a sect that preached “the purification of the world and the reduction of its population.” More
