Repeat prisoner Tad Whitworth, 49, smashed the Labs on their heads and bodies on Countryview Dr. in Lakeland on Oct. 9, witnesses told the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
Police said Whitworth was trying to kill the elderly dogs because his girlfriend asked him to put them down, WTVT-TV reported.
Witnesses said he even tried to bury them because he thought he had finished the job, according to WFTS-TV. More
