Woman, 28, accused of beating man, 82, after accident

Chicago - A 28-year-old Chicago woman is accused of dragging an 82-year-old man out of his car and beating him after a traffic accident on the South Side Thursday night, police said.

Sophia Body, of the 8100 block of South Maryland Avenue, was charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery of a senior citizen, police said. Body is expected to appear in court at midday.

A second woman, 38, is being questioned but has not been charged early Sunday.

Authorities responded to a call of a battery in progress in the 900 block of East 79th Street Thursday night in the city's Grand Crossing neighborhood and found the 82-year-old man bleeding from the right side of the head and suffering from lacerations to his back, police said.  More
