Homicide suspect leads deputies on wild chase, crashes then kills self


HOUSTON - A homicide suspect led deputies on a dangerous, wrong-way, high-speed chase that including shots fired, a carjacking and several accidents, eventually ending with a crash and the death of the suspect in west Harris County.

It all started on FM 529 and Lakeview Haven Drive when deputies pulled the man over for an expired tag. Once deputies ran the name of the man, they discovered the man, who sources identify as Darcy Brown, was wanted on a murder warrant out of Houston.

As deputies waited for backup, Brown tried to exit his car. Deputies approached the car, when they said Brown appeared to reach for a weapon. Deputies opened fire and officials said they believe Brown fired back.  More
