Mom accused of throwing newborn out 7th-floor window lost another baby to SIDS

New York – The former city child welfare worker accused of hurling her newborn daughter to her death from a Bronx building lost another child to tragedy seven years earlier, sources said Wednesday.

Jennifer Berry gave birth to the baby in 2008 up in Yonkers who was in and out of the hospital at least twice before the child died at home, they said.

The Westchester County Medical Examiner concluded the child had died of SIDS, or Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, the sources said.

The revelations came a day after Barry was charged with second-degree murder and manslaughter after an autopsy determined her child’s death was a homicide. More
